Major Engineer Ali Al-Qattan, Head of the Central Control Management Department at the Traffic and Operations Sector, announced the activation of 270 surveillance cameras to oversee traffic conditions and manage accidents and vehicle breakdowns with the start of the new school year.
The cameras will be instrumental in monitoring high-traffic areas and detecting congestion, particularly on major expressways such as the Fifth Ring Road, Fahaheel Road, and King Fahd Expressway.
He emphasized that the traffic flow has been smooth and efficient, with real-time monitoring allowing for adjustments to traffic signals and prompt dispatch of patrols to address any issues. This proactive approach aims to alleviate congestion and manage disruptions effectively
