The General Traffic Department said that using the horn in the wrong place is a traffic violation as pr the traffic law and this violation will attract a fine of 25 Kuwaiti dinars.

Assistant Director of the Traffic Awareness Department at the General Traffic Department, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Bu Hassan, explained that the horn device in vehicle is used to warn of an impending danger, specifically from other vehicles that may cause a traffic accident.

Pointing out that some drivers use the horn in the wrong place, such as to greet, or get attention on the road. Any violation of using the horn in the wrong place will results in traffic points being added against the offending driver, he added.
