In a major crackdown, Kuwait Municipality announced on Monday that its team from the Mubarak Al-Kabeer branch confiscated 181 barrels of locally produced liquor in the Sabah Al-Salem area.
The operation, conducted in coordination with security personnel from the Ministry of Interior, also led to the seizure of materials and equipment used in the alcohol manufacturing process.
Authorities arrested several Nepalese workers found operating the illegal distillery. The Municipality confirmed that legal action is being taken against the violators.
