15 cyclists injured in a Hit and Run incident on Arabian Gulf street

15 people, majority are Filipinos, were run over by a motorist on the Arabian Gulf Street Friday morning, in a hit and run case. The incident happened while a group of Filipinos were practicing cycling on the Gulf Street Friday early morning and several cyclists were injured . The driver of the car which hit them escaped from the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident with the use of the surveillance cameras to identify the vehicle hit the cyclist. A case has been registered in the incident, and the necessary legal measures are being taken.

The Ministry of Interior calls on all those who practice sports on the main and public roads to abide by the regulating laws, noting that practicing bicycle sport without a license is a danger to their lives.

Update:

Later the Ministry of Interior informed that the motorist whose car rammed into a group of cyclists on the seaside Arabian Gulf Road early on Friday turned himself in to the security authorities. Standing legal procedures are being taken against the person, whose car rammed into the group of cyclists causing injuries.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health said in a statement that nine persons, who were slightly injured in the Arabian Gulf Road accident, have been discharged from hospital after receiving first aid. Two other persons are still being treated, including one at ICU and another at the gynecological surgery ward.

The motorist could be under the influence of drugs and some Indians like Syed who dont have a life other than eat, sleep, procreate should mind their own business. Filipinos are the most polite people and they were on the last lane of the Gulf street, the idiot hit them from behind.
Imagine someone hits you while you are close to footpath while walking on the road in Salmiya
