14 Days quarantine in a third country

14 Days quarantine in a third country

Even though Director of General Civil Aviation Engineer Yousef Sulaiman Al Fouzan informed that quarantine in a third country is not required for the vaccinated expatriates to return to Kuwait, it looks like confusion prevails on the entry.

According to the latest updates by some airlines, non-Kuwaiti passengers can enter Kuwait provided they have not been to countries like Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the last 14 days before the date of arrival at the State of Kuwait.

As per the latest update by Airlines, the passenger showing any symptoms of COVID-19 (High Temperature/ Cold/ Cough/ Sneezing etc.) should not be accepted on the flight to Kuwait.

Regarding the residency status, anyone with a valid resident permit can enter provided they exited Kuwait on or after Sep 01, 2019. However, expatriates who left Kuwait on or before Aug 31, 2019 are not permitted to enter the country even if they have valid residency.

The status on their Immune App or Kuwait Mobile Id must be in green colour. The app should be available on passenger mobile. Screenshot or Printout of the Immune App status is not accepted. All the details such as Civil ID number, Passport Number and Name of the passenger must match with the Immune application.

Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine or Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine or Two doses of Moderna Vaccine or One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine are the approved vaccine for the State of Kuwait.

Negative PCR test must be taken from local government accredited lab 72 hours before boarding. However PCR test is not required for children below six years old.

Registration in SHLONIK application and Kuwait Mosafar platform are other requirements before travel.

Earlier Director of General Civil Aviation Engineer Yousef Sulaiman Al Fouzan told Indiansinkuwait.com that direct flights from 5 countries, including India, are not yet open. However, according to him, Indians who satisfy the arrival conditions can enter Kuwait without quarantine in a third country. In contrast, the Airline circular says that passengers should be in another country for a minimum of 14 days to enter Kuwait. This shows that we need to wait for few more days to get better clarity on the travel procedure for vaccinated expats.

All passengers who have been completely vaccinated with both doses and whose certifications are in order and not showing any symptoms should be granted permission to travel freely to and from Kuwait without any quarantine or unwanted PCR tests. Any other requirements like staying for 14 days outside Kuwait or need to have PCR certificate even after getting officially vaccinated and certified are all being done by corrupt and money sucking airline companies who want to make money by preventing direct flights and by making exhorbitant sums of money through transit flights and private hospital owners who want to suck out the money from 1000s of poor passengers who haven''t been able to see their families for the last 2 and half years, by requiring PCR certificates from already vaccinated passengers. This is the evil that is going on. May God help save us poor hard working and sincere people from the evil hands of these blood sucking airline companies, private hospitals and corrupt bureaucrats.

Why so much speculation about quarantine in a 3rd country? Lets wait and see. Quarantine in a 3rd country even after vaccination defies logic.
