13 traffic violations leads to withdrawal of driving licenses

The Director of Hawalli Police Department, Colonel Rashid Al-Hajri said that driving licenses will be withdrawn for 13 traffic violations, stressing that registration book shall not be withdrawn in any case.

He said that the serious violations that require withdrawal of licences are speed above average, crossing the red traffic light, recklessness, driving against the flow of traffic, deliberately obstructing traffic, racing on the road, carrying passengers for money, driving a vehicle without plates, endangering the lives of other motorists, driving on the shoulder of the road in places that are not allowed, driving on the right hand side shoulder of the right, etc.

It''s better to install Count Down dashboards for green signal. This will make driver alert, how many seconds remaining for them to cross road.

Can any one explain if accidentally crosses red signal then?

Instead of this strict rule, better not give license to expats.
