1,940 traffic violations within three hours on Monday evening

In one of the largest security check in recent time, traffic authorities issued 1,940 violations within three hours on Monday evening.

Under the direct instructions from the Traffic Sector Undersecretary, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, 7 teams conducted security inspections at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Hawalli, Khaitan and Jahra, that the resulted in issuing 1,940 violations ticket. The campaign was focused on vehicles that lacked security and durability conditions, in addition to seizing Dilapidated vehicles on the roads.

Officials explained that the violating cars will be seized administratively, and their owners will not be able to pay the violation, and put a block until the technical inspection department is reviewed, and the vehicle is inspected by a specialized committee.

Officials also said that the Technical Inspection Department will be strict and firm towards vehicles traveling on the roads.
