
Some 823 individuals were apprehended and 1,084 were deported in violation of residency law and work permits across the country from May 11 to 18, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said on Thursday.
The Interior Ministry said in a press release that the inspections were conducted in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, Kuwait Municipality, and Kuwait Fire Force.
The Ministry pointed out that the arrests were taken after completing the necessary legal due process.
It affirmed the continuation of such campaigns to arrest violators of work and residency laws, stressing that legal procedures would be taken against workers and employers equally.
