"Zero tolerance on middlemen": Indian Ambassador address the community

Indian Embassy has zero-tolerance on middlemen or agents in Embassy or at our passport offices in Kuwait, Indian Ambassador Shri Sibi George said. "The Consular service and Community welfare efforts at the Embassy passport services at the three passport offices in Abassia, Fahaheel and Al Shart continues to be the most important element of Embassy's work in Kuwait," Ambassador said during the Open House with the community at the Indian Embassy today.

The Indian Embassy had institutionalized eleven WhatsApp numbers for the public to contact the Embassy team directly 24x7. There is also multilingual feedback forms for all services. "If you are finding it difficult to WhatsApp in English, you can type in your own language. Even you can send an audio message or video message to these WhatsApp numbers," Ambassador said.

There are still several issues that need to be addressed, including approval of Covaxin vaccines, unresolved issues related to NBA accreditation of engineers, recruitment of nurses and their certificate related issues; these work in progress, Ambassador said. However, we have made good progress in domestic workers recruitment. The Kuwait Cabinet has approved the MoU on Recruitment of Domestic workers, which will further streamline the recruitment of Indian domestic workers in Kuwait and also help protect the rights of both workers and employers.

Various Government schemes for Indians abroad were explained during the Open house. "I plan to cover all the State Government schemes starting with the State of Kerala," Ambassador said. In the coming months, Embassy will have presentations by the Government of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and other States.

Regarding various schemes for Keralites, Principal Secretary of Kerala Dr. K. Elangovan IAS briefed the attendees about various schemes for Non-resident Keralites. "In the past six years, Kerala becomes the investors heaven," Dr Elangovan said while explaining the investment opportunities in Kerala.

NORKA CEO Shri Harikrishnan Namboothiri and General Manager of NORKA Roots Shri Ajit Kolassery briefed the audience about various schemes by NORKA for the Keralites abroad. Various services such as Insurance policy, recruitment, Attestation service, etc were explained in brief by the officials.

Indian Embassy also updated its various activities at the Open House. Embassy continues to provide free air ticket for the needy, Free lunch packets for the needy people who visit Embassy for various services, etc as part of its community welfare measures.

The Principal Secretary used the correct word '' heaven '' .... heaven is the place where you can go only after death !!

(What actually he meant is '' haven '' (a place of safety or refuge ...) It is either wrongly interpreted or written by the reporter of Indiansinkuwait ..... I don''t think the Principal Secretary doesn''t know the meaning or difference of these words ...)
