RAMADAN – The Great Blessings of Allah

Monday, April 5, 2021

The holy month of Ramadan is one of the great blessings of Allah SWT so has bestowed upon mankind. The two most important things that happened during Ramadan was (1) Prophet hood of Mohammad Sallalahu Alaihe Wassallam (2) Quran was revealed for us as a book of guidance, the criterion of right & wrong, the light to illuminate our path, a blessing & a remedy to all the problems.

10 IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO DURING RAMADAN

Now the question comes - What should we do to get maximum benefit out of Ramadan? What should we do to inculcate the quality of Taqwa (Piousness), Strength, capability of Character though Fasting, Night Prayers and Recitation of Quran.

1.INTENTION: Should be right and sincere. All efforts aimed at achieving Allah’s pleasure, HIS bounty and rewards.
2.BOND WITH QURAN : Develop a deeper understanding with Quran. Understand its lessons and messages. Ponder on different Surah’s to let the mind and heart absorbs it.
3.AVOID DISOBEIENCE TO ALLAH: Special environment in Ramadan should be continued throughout of our life and we must set up some goals to avoid bad habits and adopt good habits to make Allah happy.
4.QUEST FOR GOODNESS: The great incentive given by Allah during Ramadan is the increase of his reward by 70 times or more. So please reap this opportunity as much as we can.
5.NIGHT PRAYERS: Offer Taraweh prayers and offer Tahajjud prayers punctually because at that time Allah comes closer to the world and declares “Is there anyone who asks me to fulfill his needs and I will give him what he ask for.
6.ZIKR (REMEMBERING ALLAH) : Zikr is anything which Allah like whether through heart, tongue or limb. It can be fasting, recitation of Quran, repeating of some specific words at any time of the day even while you are busy with any work.
7.THE BLESSED NIGHT & ETIKAF: It is the night when Quran was revealed. So stay awake at alternate nights for prayers and supplications and in sha Allah forgiveness is the reward which will be granted.
8.SPENDING IN ALLAH’S PATH: It includes time, energy & soul, but most of all is spending wealth as it is the most cherished & liked.
9.SERVICE OF HUMANITY: It’s the month of brotherhood, fellow felling and forgiveness. Its meant for showing sympathy, sharing the sense of love and concern with mankind.
10.CALL TO QURAN: Call others to the path of virtue and goodness as this set the claim of never ending rewards. It is Quran because of which Ramadan has got its status, its dignity.

In the end, this is the best time and best month for conveying the message of Quran to all people; create awareness in them about the teaching of Quran.
