My name is Reeya Jafar, and I am a 12-year-old student in the 6th grade at the Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman branch. I have published a collection of my poems titled The Age of Wonders, which was released at the Sharjah International Book Fair 2024. I believe poetry is a beautiful way to express our thoughts, experiences, and deeper inner feelings. I am also a presenter on Kuwait National TV (KTV2) and co-host the program Kids Reading Club alongside my sister, Reema Jafar. The goal of this program is to inspire young children to develop a love for reading from an early age. In our show, we narrate stories from various books for children who have not yet started reading. Inspired by this, I co-founded “Readers’ Club Kuwait” to encourage kids to read and to nurture their scientific curiosity. I’m quite happy that this club is now growing into a larger group. I have participated in the CBSE Table Tennis Nationals held in India in 2023 and 2024. Mathematics and science fascinate me the most, as they unlock the secrets of this vast universe and play an important role in our daily lives. I also love reading, writing, and traveling. Books take me to new worlds, stimulate my imagination, and enrich my vocabulary. Reading has also been my greatest inspiration for writing a book of my own.
