How is it stranded?? Are you not home? Are ur parents not home? Are you facing any atrocities from the authorities? Are you getting harassed by locals? Are you not having any access to food or meds? Read and learn more b4 spreading undue panic. The system will keep showing the fine bcz it''s designed that way. Be careful abt the visitor instead of KD 10 fine. U want the govt to arrange a special flight bcz u r paying some fine?? Having said so, local govt will surely make some arrangements for the visitors to exit by either allowing the default extension (more likely so) or extension would be granted upon request. Hold on, let the offices resume. Clarity will come. Till then enjoy more time with the visitor, instead of worrying abt fine.

@Zameer O presume you dont know the meaning of stranded. Its really a worrying thing, most of the parents here are elders who are on visit visa. God forbid someone has to vsiit any hospital with expired visa , you dont know the humiliation and charges being put. Also, we dont know for how long the airlines will be forbidden to fly from Kuwait, also its the responsibility of our Indian govt to intervene and make some arrangements for visit visa holders. Nobody can say how long this will continue.

Get a covid-free certificate from the authorities here. India will allow (if the flight materialises) only people with such a certificate to fly in. Don''t ask me how you get it, but it is a must.

RE: Arif NK
@Arif NK: The government has specifically announced that there will be no penalties for any violators during this time. That includes visit visa holders, car registrations, work visa holders etc. Nothing will be charged the 10 KD violation that you see is not applicable at this point of time. Regarding the hospital visits, my mother is here on a visit visa, she had an eye infection and a flu, both of which were treated at Salmiya clinic and upon referral at Al Bahar Eye Hospital. With medications included the total cost of the treatment came to 12KD (10 KD at Bahar and 2 KD at Salmiya). So do not worry God forbid if there is any medical emergency the Kuwait government is giving complete support to all. But never the less if you want to go to India for whatever reason, for getting medications that are not available here or for treatment that is not here, you can and should try contacting the embassy to arrange special flights. But even if they do, India is a much larger country than Egypt, Lebanon etc. Which airport do you think will the government send the flight to? Since all transport is shutdown in India during the lockdown, how will your parents go from one airport to another or station to another? There are many things in play here, and my recommendation would be to just stay put for now unless you have an absolute necessity. Kuwait is very safe at the moment.

@Arif NK, Don''t behave like a village guy who has no exposure thus keep sending SOS for everything. Learn the meaning urself b4 writing and then questioning someone else. Heard it on a news channel, posted it here, come on. Parents can''t be stranded with the family b it here or at native place until & unless u made them stranded in ur own house. As far as humiliation and other stuffs, it''s again a false alarm. It seems, u have never visited either a clinic or hospital. Though there is no issue, If u still feel there would be an issue at the govt hospital then take him/her to Pvt hospital. Ur issue seems like too much stress during the lockdown and then thought of paying KD 10 per day and not knowing till when!! Correct? Relax and enjoy the time. U just can''t help it.
