Designation change and driving licence

Note: During designation change please note that your licence is not cancelled it is blocked.....

I have come across many posts and have received many calls regarding the clarification about the designation change and driving licence, below is the detail which i had posted earlier regarding the same and was helpful for many people in getting their licence issue settled.
Maximum no of people were from Engineering field. So please dont wory about your licence and dont pay anything to any middle man for getting your licence back into the system, as it is a very simple job, u can do urself. please post your experience once you get your data online.

Just to share with u guys, it depends on the designation...for driver they may cancel but for specific designations they block the licence..
Go to muroor and check the detail at the counter..for example Jabria muroor...go to counter 10 and give your civil id they will give u one paper with your detail...go to asma muroor...Maktab wakil office meet manager..the young guy....he will direct you to upstairs..take left and then right side room the official will do the changes online and unblock the licence....he may check your all originals...so keep with you...
Then go to any muroor typing center and type BADLE TALAF application ...they should mention your current designation....
Get signature on that application from the kafeel
pay 5 kd stamp for changing designation
submit application to the concerned muroor
they will issue new licence
IMP: carry salary certificate in arabic, all original documents in support of your previous and current designation

I have followed the above proceedures for unblocking my license -
I went there with my original degree, arabic translation, workpermit and a copy of these..it was imediately done in ASMA murroor. But they check for more than 2 years residency in Kuwait, Salary requirement and University Degree. so far didn't go for renewal as my license is still valid for another 4 months.

Thank you for sharing. I like to know that i had got my license in 2005 when the salary requirement was 250. I might have to change my job now so i was wondering if there is any change in my designation , will my license get blocked or it will continue. When i applied , designation was not an issue only salary limit was min 250kd. Kindly advise .

I went to Asma muroor today. However, I could not convey the message to anyone there what I wanted. I am facing the same problem. Designation change leading to blocking of license. Could you please guide me which building to go to and exact room?

as far as i know they salary requirement is 600, About the total years, i am not sure about the two years as someone mentioned, please cross check. Regarding the building location: Enter the asma muroor take right straight then left exit door on right side there in building with a big signboard Muktab wakeel office..hope this will help....
Regarding cancellation of licence: if u change company and designation they may cancel linence, if only designation but company is same and salary is ok u can get it back.

Hi Raj,
When you go to Asma murroor, enter from the main building you need to take right go straight and then exit the building on the left side door you can also see there is another building towards right, to keep it simple the same office where we submit the application first time to get NOC for isthimara. otherwise you can just ask the people to see the office for manager to unblock the license, they will guide you. Once you go to the building take the upstairs left side 2nd room on your right. In that building you can just ask the reception that you need to unblock the license, they will guide you.

Dear Friends,

I am changing my job designation from engineer, due to KSE issue. I possess a driving license since April 2014 and my salary as mentioned in Izn amil is more than 600 KD. kindly advise me, to what designation should I change in order to retain my driving license.

Anybody gone through similar process, please guide me. I will request my company to change my designation accordingly.

i paid 300KD for this work to be done to a middle man. people here and there will make you panic with the word your license will be blacked for 2 years and even case may be filed against you. do not believe in anything. after gotten my license back, i saw so many of my friends taken back their license as narrated by ayaz ahmad. it is very simple and even no one need to be afraid of anything. only thing your salary must be 600 KD, university degree holder and 2 years inside kuwait. simple.

Will it be possible if only we go? Or does the company mandoop have to accompany us?
A middle man told me that if we go to the muroor they will remove our license from the system and we will not be able to apply for 2 years.

Hi all, recently unlocked license as per the above instructions. Hassle free. Just make sure you have all the documents and then submit it in the asma murror. After 48 hours the license is showing up in the system.

Used to same procedure. Very simple and easy to unlock. License was showing back in the system in 4 hours.
Just need info about the badle talaf application.. Is it really necessary.
Didn''t go yet for renewal.

Dear All,
I went to Asma Muroor Yesterday and go to general traffic department next to the building where can we renew our license. Then meet a security officer and go to Mudheer room, it is in 1st floor, from stairs turn left and left side second room. I didn''t take more than 2 minutes.
I went to Muroor aronud 8AM.
I typed the renewal form and in the place of designation i typed as computer programmer (New designation old was computer enginner) and made signature from my sponser and company seal. Along with that i kept my new Ithnamel copy (work permit or salary copy or contract copy) salary 600, civilid copy, passport copy authorized signatury papers from company, license copy and my degree certificates. He signed in it and my license is unblocked afternoon. Due to my license expire on next month he told me to submit form on next week.
There is no problem in the muroor any one can go directly to there to change designation.

I have been working in Kuwait for past 4 years.My designation was changed from Engineer visa to another category due to NOC issue from KSE(Kuwait Society Of Engineers) and my license was blocked. But now I have received the NOC from KSE after approval and exam. So My visa transfer to Engineering visa is in process. Please share me the details for unblocking the licence once my visa is changed to Engineer Visa.

I took my driving licence on Aug 2019 with my designation as "Mandoop Mubaiyath" with 650 KD as salary in Idnamal.
Now I have changed my iqama to new company with designation to "Muraqab Amaal"( foreman) with Salary as 650 KD.

My driving licence was not showing in the MOI system after the designation & Iqama change.
I went to Asma Muroor - Makthab Wakeel office and submitted my Idnamal Copy, Degree Certificate Attested Copy and Translation Copy. Driving License got unblocked from the system in 3 working days.

hi please guide me on this,
I took my driving license in January 2014 with my designation as "Computer engineer" with 600 KD as salary. Now I got a new offer from another company but they are offering a new designation "Computer Programmer". will I lose my driving license.

i have KSE -NOC certificate also.

Hi all,

This post helped me a lot in unblocking my license. My license was blocked in 2020 august when my designation changed from mechanical engineering to technical supervisor. at that time my salary was not meeting the eligibility and now when I renewed my residency salary also upgraded. I went to asima muroor general traffic department and at the ''MANAGEMENT OF THE ASSISTANT UNDERSECRETARY OFFICE FOR TRAFFIC AND OPERATIONAL AFFAIRS'' which is at the left side of entrance when we enter inside from Kuwait national guard office area and when we enter at the reception, they will ask to go upstairs and from upstairs right side 2nd or 3rd room when we go left. There an officer will be there and show him the following documents
1. degree certificate with translation and copies of both
2. driving license original and copy
3. passport original and copy
4. work permit
5. company ithmathokiya

when we show him all this documents, he will collect all copies and return back the originals and will do changes in the system. This change will come in effect from 12 to 24 hours in the MOI site. I got it unblocked in 12 hours. people who are getting their license blocked can do this procedure and unblock it very easily. don''t go for any wasta. this office is very hassle free and officers are very friendly to approach. Hope this will help somebody in future to get this done.

My license was blocked due to designation change in September 2018. I couldn''t try to unblock as I was short of 600KD salary mark. Now I have 600+ salary. Do I need to apply for new or I can go through this procedure of unblocking first and then renewing? Please note that my original license was valid only till April 2019. Thank you all for sharing this useful information. If a person has got license from Jabriya Muroor earlier and in case of change in his designation, should he go to same Jabriya Muroor or to Asma Muroor. If Jabriya what procedure he has to follow?
