Post Delivery 2 hours permission during Ramadan
posted by Human Resources on Saturday, March 25, 2023
Dear HR/ Legal experts,
I have a question, one of our female staff member is availing 2 hours daily permission to leave (after the delivery) as per the provisions of Kuwait Labor Law. During Ramadan, she''s demanding the same and needs 2 hours permission in this 6 hours working schedule. My question is whether this is correct as she''s already working only for 6 hours and anyone who can put a light on this topic, please reply me at the earliest.
Regards,
HR

"Tere PET mein kyu dard ho raha hai." HR should work for employee & see humanitarian side & not only LAW side. If you facilitate her, she will loyal to the company & perform her best even in 4 hours of duty. Who know she will work more 15-20 years in same company. People not only look at salary, but easy of doing work also.

As per law, it is a 2 hour break when working for 8 hours. During Ramadan working hours are anyway reduced to 6 hours. She cannot ask for to deduct 2 more hours and work only for 4 hours.
Ask her to sit at home.
