So what is your problem? Every school send this circular to their students as per the Ministry instruction. They are opening the school as per Kuwait government instruction. They gave two option to all. You can either continue online or attend school. I know many parents and many students wants to attend the school offline. If they can arrange a safe transport, better to opt for offline school as it will give a good emotional health to the students who otherwise always sit in front of screen 24 X 7
So what is your burning issue?

Raj, no need to heat up every issue, if you have anything to comment which benefits please do. else you have the right to keep quiet. No need to start with your wise questions and give your ratings. There are 2 sides of a coin. Perhaps you see only one side of it.

It was not wise of them to have a summer vaccation when you were not able to travel. they should have continued the schools during june to August and close by Oct to Dec. By then travelling would have been a reality and people could have visite their loved ones left back in India and come back.

How come you all were given option to still continue with online ? UIS gave an option but sent a second circular stating that if any student wants to continue online, they have to provide a medical certificate stating their reason to do so. otherwise they made offline mandatory. Many parents opted for online but had to revert to offline

@sm, SIMS also asked for medical certificate. but i have opted for Online and decided not to submit any medical certificate. reason for selecting online, is the same reason why the schools are closed from April 2020 . Its stupidity to ask for MC. COVID is still not over. Ministry has not asked for medical certificate. It is not healthy for the kids to stay with the mask on for 6 hours continuously. Also transportation is another issue.

My option would be online classes till this academic year is over, for children under 12yrs of age. Let the government announces Kuwait is covid free. Vaccinated children above 12yrs shall attend offline classes. Sending children below 12yrs is a complete risk.

Totally! Online classes should continue, at least kept optional till the parents are comfortable in sending the kids physically. With winter approaching, how will we identify if the child is having a flu or something else. At least at home, we know they didn’t come in contact with any infected person. Some schools in India even hid the fact that some kids in the class were infected and continued classes till many kids got infected. Why some schools are forcing to send, I dont know

Apart from the covid issues, Its also about taking a break for both parents and children. There are people who lost their family members and couldnt be there during covid. and now the schools starting are an issue when people want to see their loved ones and settle other outstanding issues back home. Online Classes should continue this year and go back offline beginning of next year, this will give time for things to settle down.

those who are commenting try to understand how offline setup will work
As 20 student per class ... then offline class can continue only for half class per day . Or 3 days per week IF THEY ALLOW SATUDAY OR FRIDAY FOR OFFLINE CLASS !!! ELSE IT IS only 2.5 DAYS of school.
in other words TWICE THE INFRASTRUCTURE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE. !!!
WHAT parent will face is different issue altogether like transport arrangement sanitizers tiffin''s etc...
as above circular from ICSK all can make out that schools are money making business and is hit hard by 25 % fee discount and parents not purchasing books from school. and uniforms is not required. !!! etc... … Regards

Online or offline should be purely a parental choice. No authority should force parents to send for physical classes. What guarantee is there that a third wave wont be there, especially when all news channels are predicting one with max children being affected.

‘Schools not ready for students’; MP criticizes MoE plan KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: MP Musaed Al-Ardi criticized the Ministry of Education’s plan on the resumption of traditional classes in the upcoming academic year as most schools are not yet ready to receive the students. He found out that most of the educational districts have no maintenance and cleaning contracts, indicating some teachers even asked their household workers to help in cleaning the schools. He said the government approved the biggest State budget in June 2021, yet Minister of Education Ali Al-Mudaf asked the Union of Consumer Cooperative Societies to donate supplies for the schools.
However, the Ministry of Education denied this; clarifying the union submitted a proposal to support some schools as part of its social responsibility, not because the ministry requested for it. He also denounced the plan of the Education Ministry to require teachers and students to undergo PCR test weekly, warning this will put more pressure on the Ministry of Health. He pointed out that State institutions and all countries require the submission of the result of a PCR test conducted within 72 hours, yet the Education Ministry obligates teachers and students to submit the same weekly. He added that at present; the Health Ministry’s laboratories cannot accommodate all the teachers for the PCR test, so most of them will most likely go to private laboratories — an indication that the decision favors businesspersons or traders. “If this is the case now, what will happen once both the teachers and students are required to undergo PCR test weekly?” he asked.

Thankfully, UIS now gave an option to continue with online if we are not comfortable in sending physically. I chose online for both my kids. I am going to wait and watch. In India, many kids got infected. Why to experiment with our kids here. Next academic year, they can open properly, why now

Some schools have not given online option for classes in their survey. Parents are forced to send their kids without any option. Transportation is also not provided. The students are required to wear their masks at all times which will be a difficult task for them. It is not advisable to wear masks continuously for more than an hour and the students will be in school from 7:00 am until 1:30 pm.

@Curious Online coaching should be charged more actually due to the amount of stress taken by the teachers to teach the children.
