India is a beautiful country with 28 states and 8 union territories, more than 1600 languages of which 122 are major languages. It ranks 7th largest country in the world. It is one of the greatest and oldest civilizations with its varied heritage culture and religions. It is a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides and the gigantic Himalayas in the north.
My country stands 5th economically in the world. My dream for my country is that it should stand 1st, not only economically but in all other aspects. It should use all its resources and create job opportunities for the educated youth, so that they don’t go to other countries for a job. They should paid higher salaries with fixed timings for their work. Both men and women should be treated with dignity whether in high posts or in low posts. Women should not have to work late as they have household chores as well. There should be regular patrolling in lonely areas so that women don’t fall into the hands of evil people who prowl around.
Since my country is democratic, I want the democracy should be followed to the letter. Everyone has the right to education but the poor people don’t have the means, it should be provided by my country.
The caste system must be totally abolished. The life of the rural people must improve. Each and everyone must have a house with basic needs fulfilled. They too should be provided with job opportunities. All my country people should live in love and brotherhood. My country should practice the spirit of tolerance and allow each one to choose and practice their own religion.
Besides all the above things the children of my country should be taught moral values such as love and respect towards each other, kindness, compassion towards the less fortunate being mindful of the sick and the aged. I want my India to become a place where everyone can live peacefully, happily and comfortably so that I can proudly say, “Satyameva Jayate” (Truth alone triumphs) which our forefathers chose is truly and fully lived up.
