The Independence Day reminds every Indian the beginning of a new period from Slavery & Servitude. The 15th of August 1947 marked the end of British Rule & the dawn of Democratic India. The Journey to achieve this goal was not easy, we struggled a lot. However, the selfless efforts from our great freedom Fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subash Chandra Bose. Lal Lajpat Rai, Rani Lakshmi Bhai & many others made this impossible task achievable. They all made a lot of sacrifices for the freedom from British rule because they loved their Country & care for the People. It was our beloved Chacha Nehru who declared India’s Independence and was the first Prime Minister of India.

Independence Day is celebrated throughout India with grand ceremonies including Hoisting of National Flag, speeches on Freedom Fighters, Traditional dances, singing of National Anthem etc. It is in New Delhi, the capital of India ,the most magnificent of celebrations happen . The events of the day start with hoisting of flag, followed by 21 honorary gunshot on the National Anthem.

Independence Day is not only a national Festival but is also very important day because it helps to keep the spirit of patriotism alive & motivates us to bond with each other irrespective of which religion ,cast, culture we belong too .
