Do you think India is poor? No, because, let me share you many things about India’s rich culture. Before I start about it, let me share you a few facts about India. India is known to be the 7th largest country in the world with 28 states and 8 union territories. It has 2 official languages: Hindi and English. More than that, it has 121 languages and 270 mother tongues. There are 1.3 billion of people. The ancient Indians invented the digit 0 and predict planet positions. We have many types of festivals we celebrate like national festivals, harvest festivals, and Religious festivals, and we have so many food, dance, clothes too. In music, we divided into 2 types: Hindustani in the north, and Carnatic in the south. We also have lots of monuments, like the Lotus Temple, Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and more. The nature in India is beautiful like the lotus, peacock, the tiger, and the ‘crystal clear’ river Ganga. Our tricolor flag represents our values: Saffron stands for sacrifice, White presents purity, and green represents prosperity. To celebrate Independence Day on August 15th, every year, we’ll unfurl the flag, sing the national anthem and remembering our freedom fighters. Let’s salute the flag and wish you all Happy Independence Day!
