IIK Independence Day

A Tricoloured Pride in my Beating Heart

When the birdie glides freely in the bright blue azure;
My optics gets flooded with crystal tears;
Not because the feathered friends are at liberty but;
We Indians are free like a bird;
Thanks to all the fearless warriors who faced all the struggles;
Making the rugged time pass by to create a paradise on earth.

There are innumerable things with which we can live without;
But freedom is what everyone seeks.
I am blessed that I am born in a peaceful land
which is known for its bravery since ages.
I proudly proclaim to the world that I am Indian;
And I am proud to be forever an Indian.
