“A book of revelation in a plain wrapper” is how the statesman received the book “INDIA 2020 – A vision for the new millennium “authored by are beloved former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dr. Y.S. Rajan, a physicist.
Over the past few years India has seen a tremendous growth in all the fields. There has been a surge in foreign investment which has increased the availability of all necessities. India is blessed with several young talents, we could encourage the support for technological innovation, train technical talents and incentivize it to ensure young talent stays in the country. As our great leader said “Youth power, if properly directed and controlled could bring about transformational changes in humanity.” “The youth can work for national development even as they work hard for an individual goal.”
As a teenager, myself on this occasional of the 74th Independence Day of beloved nation. I am awe-inspired by the young talent my country possesses in the various field.
Harshvardhan Sinh Zala. a 15 year- old boy from Gujarat has developed a drone that detects and deteriorates land mines. His Eagle A7 was developed over 3 years and it can detect land mine explosives and send real time to a ground control station. .
18 kms from Sirohi in Rajasthan lives a boy named Dinesh. He has developed a mobile app which helps the farmers of his village control their pump sets. This has now turned as a blessing for the farmers in his village. Dinesh says he spoke personally to the farmers to understand their need and then developed his app based on their needs.
18 year- old Prithvi Shaw entered Cricket Records Book by hitting a century on his test debut against the West Indies. His century makes him the youngest Indian player to score more than 50 on a test debut.
Sanjay Godika, a student of class XI won the “Breakthrough Junior Challenge “with his project on the Circadian Rhythm after competing with 12,000 applicants. This challenge allows teenagers to participate through engaging and imaginative videos that demonstrate difficult scientific concepts.
These are just a few examples of the fantastic of the fantastic richness of Indian talent. India, perhaps has the highest density of young talent in the world. The journey of the Indian mind continues unabated.
According to me, if we sow the seed of seeing India as a developed nation in the children of my age, the day is not far away. Our former President has said “Dreams is not what you see in sleep, it is the thing which doesn’t let you sleep.”
