Being a patriotic changes with time- you may wonder how? Let's look at today's patriotic in India:- on August 15th of each year commemorating the independence day of India by flag hoisting, chanting slogans, patriotic songs and the National anthem, conducting speech about the freedom fighters and their struggle and distributing chocolates to enjoy the taste of freedom. Is that all? Unfortunately, yes and most of the people lose their energy and enthusiasm for their nation very next day and it does not come back until next celebration and again the same cycle.

Shall we look at the real patriotics, patriotics in the past- "the freedom fighters"- There are many of them namely Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose and the list goes on. There are innumerable known and unknown people behind the freedom which we enjoy by misusing it. Those indian leaders gave their blood, life, capabilities and everything for our nation. We can conceal their struggle with a word sacrifice even when we cannot sacrifice our favourite pizza or expensive mobile phone for anything. It's easy to speak about their struggle, not to suffer.

They dreamt a free India from all harsh rules of British and they loved their mother nation. But their dreams weren't only about an independent India, India with it's own republic, they also dreamt a beautiful, clean and self-sufficient India. There was a video which went viral last year by an American tourist and he describes India in that- " Although India is a beautiful country with a vibrant natural and landscapes, it's not clean." So definitely he visited India, yes, our country's roads and lands are decorated with wastes thrown by people- one of the key reasons behind the water pollution, land degradation, loss of land fertility and air pollution. There is a special mountain all over our nation other than the Himalayas but it isn't made of earth,it's made of trash- India's trash mountain. We are the creators of that garbage montain and a study in 2019 about garbage in India shows that this will reach beyond the height of the Taj Mahal. Throwing garbage onto the road is illegal in many countries but it's a hobby in India, all in the name of freedom. In this independence day we should pledge to make India beautiful by not throwing garbage, disposing it properly and treating it effectively. We can't sit on the fence any longer, it's time to act. Believe in meriolism-our freedom fighters believed in it and the result is our celebration on August 15. Let our actions speak and that will be the biggest salute for our freedom fighters.
