On this Independence Day,
We remember the long years past;
We salute in honour of our martyrs,
For the great sacrifices on their part.
Oh! My motherland, my dreamland,
We love you with our whole heart.
Glory & fame to you our motherland,
May your children never remain apart.
Of all the lands in the East and West,
You, my mother is indeed the best.
You are the “garden”
Where many “flowers” bloom,
You are the garland where all the religions loom.
Your unity in diversity,
No wonder amazes all;
You are the leader, you are the teacher,
You are the glowing light for all.
You taught the truth,
This world- A single family;
We humbly bow before you,
For this great knowledge, gracefully.
