Patriotic Fervour

The freedom we enjoy now,
Wondering those days of British Rule.
Cherishing the present pleasures
Regained from the past, if not
would have been wandering the streets,
Begging in rough, hoarse voices,
The perfect picture of misery.
Interrupting the scene, the British come along,
With huge breastplates of gold and silver,
Wearing cruel smiles on their harsh faces.
Their majestic carriage passes along and,
The Indians roar in sorrow and anger.
But, forgetting that dream,
Now, we thank the past for that experience.
Thank our ancestors for sacrificing.
Thank our true heroes;
For the pleasures we dwell,
For the right we own,
For the ownership, stability and
All that we possess as ours,
If anything comes along now,
We know how to overcome that grief and fight.
Fight for our country,
Fight for our big family of cultures,
INDIA.
