Independence Day

India achieved freedom, on August 15, 1947.
Wishing our warriors happy 74th Independence day in Heaven.
The day that marked the end to British rule.
And an end to British racism and misrule.

We Indians celebrate this day as our National festival .
That teaches us to keep our spirits high and our minds jovial.
A day with flag-hoisting ceremonies, parades and cultural events.
And not to forget the speech of our Prime Minister and President.

Many freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives..
And that’s why now we live a peaceful life.
We should always be grateful to them
Because each of them were a true gem.

Independence Day inspires us to stay united.
A day when we the citizens of India are much delighted.
