Every country has its own flag and we should be proud of our National Flag. Our flag is rectangular in shape and it has three colours. The topmost colour is saffron, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom. In the center of the white band there is a blue color wheel called Ashoka Chakra which has 24 spokes which represents 24 hours of the day. The Saffron band represents the strength and courage of our country. The white band represents peace and truth and the green band represents the fertility and growth of our country.
National Flag of India was adopted in its present form on July 22, 1947. Our Flag is also called Tricolor or Tiranga.
I am very proud that I belong to this beautiful country India and will strive hard to keep our National Flag always flying high.
Jai Hind.
