May Freedom Reign !

The ecstasy of being free,
the contentment of just being me!
This freedom that we received;
is what our forefathers perceived.

From days of yore,
India was a paradise galore!
Till vile and deception left us in a lurch,
our mirth was turned into a dirge!

With grit and determination, we fought,
non-violence and resilience - our resort!
Independence we obtained,
our sovereignty we regained!

Today we strive,
with our heads held high!
As Indians we live,
as Indians we will die.

Our credence is this-
Unity is bliss!
With divergence in culture and creed, we bond;
‘No more divide!’ is how we respond.

Democracy we have attained,
with the independence gained.
May justice, liberty and equality never perish!
May our Motherland always flourish!
