IIK Independence Day

My Tricolour

-- Keerath Kaur Sethi, VIII-A, Carmel Indian School

The Tiranga binds the Indians together,
Makes them stronger, motivated and devoted than ever.

In it lies our past, our present and our future,
With so many diversities and cultures.

Our flag is like a conductor in a symphony,
Helping millions to stay in harmony.

With saffron for selflessness and white for peace,
Green stands for prosperity and shows us opportunities to seize.

I salute this tricolor, the mere sight of which,
Fills me with fidelity and fervour
