Mubarak Al- Rashed Al-Azmi a famous singer of Kuwait is popularly known as the Kishore Kumar of Kuwait. He is famous for his Bollywood songs and is well known among the Indian expatriates in Kuwait. Mubarak first fell in love with Indian music when he used to watch Bollywood movies during his childhood. Mubarak’s love for singing Hindi songs was discovered a few years back and since then he has been performing at several Indian cultural events all over Kuwait. His passion for Bollywood movies and his ability to sing Hindi songs without formal training or knowledge of the language has meant that Mubarak’s talent has been widely appreciated. He mastered the language by memorizing, then harmonizing, many of the songs that have become hits in India and now in Kuwait. Mubarak told The Times Kuwait that he is very happy and comfortable singing Hindi songs and his passion has led him to experiment with Malayalam and Konkani songs as well. Mubarak’s repertoire includes many old Hindi classics that are timeless. Mubarak also expressed his gratitude to Indian ambassador and the Indian community for the support, love and encouragement given to him. He feels that this rare recognition given to him by the Government of India, has paid off the hard work and effort he has put into promoting Hindi music among local residents of Kuwait.
Mubarak Al-Rashed has always rocked the stage wherever he has performed. He had even sung the Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite Bhajan “Vaishnav Janto” in Gujrati in the presence of (late) external affair minister, Sushma Swaraj and he was appreciated for his beautiful voice.
From my point of view, I have personal met him few years before and listen to his songs. He is a very sweet charming personality and easily mingles with each and every one. Wherever he goes he brings smile on everyone’s face. Talking to him I felt very proud to meet such a beautiful personality with lots of love for each and every one. He has a smiling face with lots of love in his heart.
