SIMS Holds Choral Recitation Competition For First Graders

Words make you think a thought, music makes you feel a feeling and songs make you feel a thought.

At Salmiya Indian Model school talent is groomed from the initial stages and values are taught at priority and what better way to learn than through song and dance.

An inter-class Choral recitation competition was held on 17th October 2019 at SIMS. The program began with an introduction by grade one coordinator Ms.Mehwish. The participating classes exuded a beautiful aura with their creative actions and melodious voices which in turn showed the hard work of the teachers and students. Despite their age, they showed great confidence on stage. The songs were chosen based on themes such as good manners, unity in diversity, pollution free nature, happiness and more. Different props were used with respect to the songs that made the stage look colorful and bright. An array of dynamic performances were presented on the stage by the tiny tots which beautifully and successfully delivered the message to the audience.

The performances were equally good which made it difficult to choose the winners. Ms. Anita Sadanand congratulated the winners and praised the teachers for their efforts. She stressed on the need to have more such activities to promote team spirit. The event was wrapped up with a photo session along with SIMS Director Dr. Anis Ahmed.
