Visit Visa cannot be transferred to private sector work visa

The transfer from visit visa to residency permit is not applicable for transferring to private sector work visa, sources confirmed.

Earlier, the authorities issued a new directive to transfer visit visas to residency visas for some categories. However, the authorities clarified that transfer of visit visa to work visa in private sector is not allowed.

Visit visas can be transferred to domestic visas and visitors of ministries and public authorities who are holding university degrees can be transferred to work visas for government projects with some condition.

According to sources, the decision issued by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt-Gen Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah underlines activating the tourist and commercial situation and provides a family atmosphere for residents in the country, contrary to rumours that the Ministry of Interior is tightening a noose around the necks of expatriates.

GOOD MOVE!
What''s with this "MALLU" sarcastic remark? I do understand that a lot of people like you have an itching issue when it comes to Mallus; which obviously does not have any medicinal treatment as of now, yet....But please do consider the fact, that all of us as Indians should stand united.....
