Winners rejoice at IIK Diwali Mela 2019

Loads of surprise prizes and gift hampers made the winners to rejoice their efforts at IIK Diwali Mela 2019. Winners of various competitions like Rangoli competition, Diwali Mithai Contest , Diwali Namkeen Contest, Regional Family Fashion Show, Dandya Dance Competition and Inter School Lantern Competitions received their prizes at the IIK Diwali Mela on Friday, 18th October 2019.

Ms Maharam & Team bagged the First prize in the colorful Rangoli Competition sponsored by Al Muzaini Exchange Company. Theme of Rangoli Competition was Deepawali. Ms Dharmishtha Mukesh Bhuva & Team got second prize and Ms Shilpa Gandhi & Team got the third prize. Winners received Trophies, Medals and Certificate from IIK and gifts from Mr. Ali Asghar, Area Manager of Al Muzaini Exchange Company.

Ms Sawant Rahila got the first prize where as Ms Sauravi Mahendra Sangodkar and Ms Madhavi Yeshwant Bedekar got the second and third prize respectively in the delicious and creative Diwali Mithais competition sponsored by KDD. Mr Anwar Mhalunkar got the first prize whereas Ms Bhavitaben Anand Chavda & Ms Reshma Modi got the second and third prize respectively in the delicious and creative Diwali Namkeens competition sponsored by KDD. Mr Mushir Parkar, Senior Refrigeration Manager of KDD and Judge of the Competition Ms Chhaya Thakkar handed over the prizes to the winners. Winners received Trophies, Medals and Certificate. Judges for the competition where Ms Chhaya Thakkar and Ms Grace Saju.

Colorful and attractive Diwali Lanterns made by the students of various Indian schools were exhibited at the Mela. IIK had held an Inter School Lantern Competition and the winners were felicitated at the Mela. Inter School Lantern Competition was sponsored by Al Rashed International Shipping Co. Kaashvi Subin, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan got the First Prize, Aysha Zehrin Shameer,United Indian School got second prize and Rehan Mehrin Shameer, United Indian School got the third prize. Winners received Trophies,Certificates & prizes sponsored by Al Rashed International Shipping Co. The lanterns were so creative and colorful that the judges chose 5 consolation prizes. The winners of the consolation prizes were Shashank Royal Cherukula, Smart Indian School, Bhavishni Prakash,Smart Indian School, Dona Sabu, Hanna Susan George, Aksa Anna Thomas and Evana Elisabeth Jophy, United Indian School, Ikra Irsha, Indian Public School, Salmiya and Aafiya Qureshi,India International School - Mangaf. Prizes to the winners were given by Mr Pradeep Menon of Al Rashed International Shipping Co.

Mr John Hanush & Team got the first prize where as Beyana Mathew & Team and Ms Nidhi Nair & Team got second and third prize respectively in Regional Family Fashion Show . Judges for the competition where Ms Moli Divakaran and Ms Varsha Bafna. Winners received Trophies, Medals, Certificate from IIK and gifts sponsored by Gurukul from the Judges.

Sidharth Gadvi & Hardevsinh Rana won the Best Dancing Couple at Dandya Dance Competition sponsored by Jazeera Airways. Nidhi Nair got the Best Costume award , Vishal Patadia was selected as Best Dancing Boy and Arpita Patel was selected as Best Dancing Girl. Winners received Trophies,Medals Certificates and gifts from Sponsor.Prizes were given to the winners by the Judges Ms Shalini Yadhunath and Ms Nisha Bansali.

All the competitions were conducted by the IWIK Team.

Gold Sponsor for the event was Jazeera Airways and Al Muzaini Exchange Company, Silver Sponsor was Mitsubishi Motors and Associate Sponsors were Blooms Telecom and Gurukul. Event was organized by Lemonade International and Supported by IWIK.

More than 10000 crowd gathered at the IIK Diwali Mela, which marked one of its kind celebrations among the Indian community in Kuwait.
