The Shapers of Progress

The Shapers of Progress

Life is a long journey with many twists and turns. One possibly cannot get 100/100 in life. Making mistakes is a characteristic of humans but one should avoid them. One more trait of humans is that almost everyone wants one thing very much in life-success There is one key to success-don’t go after being successful, try becoming capable, success will come running after you. Becoming capable is in one’s own hands but some support and guidance are required.

Parents put in their life for you but when in school only a teacher is the one who is around you, observing you and ensuring your interests being taken care of.

Children start off as soft clay and have to be shaped. Teachers are the ones who take the job of modelling the child. This is why it is the responsibility of each and every student to respect their teachers. Teachers are also called second parents, which I completely agree with. They share an emotional bond with us just like parents. A teacher takes up the profession not just for money but for the prospect of helping young talents on their way to success. Each time you succeed, your teachers are happier than you. All the pains they take can never be seen on the loving smiles they give but all that they do is beyond measure. They spend their time devising all sorts of methods which can help their students. If you are not good at something your mates might laugh but a teacher always encourages you to do better. That is why in honor of these people, who are behind the success of many great people, Teachers Day is celebrated each year, on different dates in different countries (5th September in India), in honour of all the teachers who enlarge the range of their enduring love and treat each student they teach as their own child. It can, by no means, be a full return of their efforts.

Every Teachers Day has been an ecstatic experience for me but I can never forget one, which was very special.

The whole class had planned a surprise celebration for the teacher. But it didn’t go completely as planned. A couple of things went wrong that’s why our surprise wasn’t up to the mark. Our teacher smiled and took out a dart board and made us all play darts with each student getting 3 chances. She told us to go further away from the board after each chance. No one could get the dart to the board on the last chance. In the end she told us that everything has its own limits and that she loved our gift because of the love and effort we had put in it and that whatever went wrong was not a problem. She even said that she was proud of having such a class and that the biggest gift for her would be that we all succeed in life.

And it is success in itself that your teacher feels proud of you. It is a step towards success, or should I say success’ step toward you. So enjoy this Teacher’s Day and try to give your teachers as much happiness and peace of mind as you can.

Happy Teacher’s day
