KD 16,728,245 spent yearly on street lights

Minister of Electricity and Oil Dr Khalid Al-Fadhel disclosed that roughly KD 16,728,245 is spent annually to operate the street lights in Kuwait – an equivalent of KD 63.65 every 12 hours, reports Al-Rai daily.

The street lights work automatically by photo-voltaic cells and it will on approximately 15 minutes before sunset and lit until sunrise.

22915 KD for 12 hour... if it is KD 16,728,245 is spent annually to operate the street lights.

Where is the solarplant construction? Anyone know?

Is there something wrong with calculation?
Hows it 63kd per 12hrs?? Itshould be 46000 kd per day!?!?!

Use the solar panel to save at least electricity. here 13 month of the year always having skin burning sunlight.

I am very surprised. Does all the street lights of kuwait work using photo-voltaic cells? I have been in kuwait for a very long time and I didn''t know about it.
