Traffic department established a special department called the “security
supervision department” and appointed several officers to follow up the case of license suspensions.
The driving license of an expatriate can be cancelled on losing one of the conditions of getting a driving license, most importantly a change of profession, departing the country for good and continued violations.
The newly established department’s specialties is reviewing expat driving licenses and making sure about their legality.
Last week traffic department suspended more than 1,000 driving licenses of expats in all governorates for various reasons. According to sources, license inspections continue and will not cease.
