IBPC honors meritorious Indian students

IBPC honors meritorious Indian students

Indian Business & Professional Council, Kuwait organized a grand function on December 15, 2018, at the auditorium of Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS), Salmiya in order to felicitate the meritorious Indian students of class X and Class XII. Awardees were selected based on the CBSE examination results declared for the academic year 2017 – 2018, from all Indian Schools in Kuwait which are affiliated to the CBSE system of education of India. Gold/silver medals and certificate of merit were presented to the students who scored highest and second highest aggregates in science and commerce streams. Silver medals with certificates were presented to the students who scored 100% marks in any subject. Bronze medals and certificates were dispersed to those awardees who scored an aggregate of 95% or above.

Honorable Dy. Chief of mission of Embassy of India, Mr. Rajgopal Singh was the Chief Guest while Mr. SK Wadhawan was the Guest of Honour.

At the outset, IBPC Chairman, Mr. Shivy Bhasin welcomed the guests and the audience and introduced the program and encouraged the students. He was followed by the Guest of honour, Mr. Surinder K Wadhawan who appreciated IBPC’s efforts in encouraging students and schools..

Indian Community School, Kuwait was adjudged as the winner of ‘IBPC Best Academic Performance Award’ for both class X and Class XII of year 2017-2018. Best performing schools are selected on the weighted average method. Rolling trophies and mementos were presented to the school by the Chief Guest,Guest of Honor and Members of Excecutive Committee of IBPC.

Muqlis Moiz, Ashwathy Mathew, Catherine Ann John, Sabah Faez, Diya Ajay, Deon Prince D'Souza, Rachel Suzen Cibbu and Efrem Joseph Charls comprered the awards distribution ceremony. Mr. Umesh Sharma proposed a Vote of Thanks.

Event was co-sponsored by Gulf Bank, SIMS, Gulf Facilities General Trading and Contracting Co.; Al-Mailem Group; Samara Group and City Center.
