Kindergarten Fancy Dress Competition

The fancy dress competition for the little ones of LKG and UKG, at Bhavans IES and Jack and Jill Nursery, Mangaf was held in the school auditorium. The theme for LKG was “Junk and Healthy Food” and for UKG was “Aquatic Animals.” The tiny tots had to dress up as a food or animal of their choice and memorize and present a few lines about the same. The imagination of the parents went wild and some of them created exotic costumes much to the awe of the audience.

The backdrops were in tune with the themes on stage. For the UKG, the backdrop gave the effect of underwater sea life. The tiny tots of Pre-KG at Jack and Jill Nursery too participated and their theme was, “birds or animals.” The stage was decorated with pictures of birds and animals. The children at the tender age of four years exuded such confidence and poise. The adjudication panel comprised three judges, which included teachers as well as parents. Judgement was done on the basis of costume creativity, confidence and presentation.

As the creativity of the parents unleashed and they joined hands with the teachers, the fancy dress competition indeed became a wonderful learning experience for the little ones that aided in building up their self-confidence, expelling stage fear. Such competitions, prepare these little Bhavanites for the bigger events in future.
