IBAK  KBF Kuwait Badminton Challenge 2018 Concludes

Three days of badminton extravaganza, IBAK KBF Kuwait Badminton Challenge came to an end with IBAK ALL STARS defending the crown in the team event. Victor Badminton Academy 1 turned runner-up, while the journey of IBAK Challengers and Shuttle Stingers were stopped at Semifinals.

In a hard fought Final IBAK All Stars edged Victor Badminton Academy 1 for 3-2. The competition offered visual treat for the spectators while world class players showcased their talent.

In Men’s open Singles, India’s Daniel S Farid defeated Malaysia’s Goh Giap Chin in a close encounter. The fight went on to three games(21- 6. 15-21, 21 - 16). In Men’s Open Doubles Flight 1, Yogendran Krishnan and Thanesh Veerappan of Malaysia proved better to India’s Mohammed Munawer and Pranav Satheesh(23-21, 17-21, 21-17).

Mr.Angelose of Kout Food Group (Pizzahut) who were the Gold Sponsor of the event was special guest during closing ceremony and addressed the gathering.

The tournament which was inaugurated by The Ambassador of India HE Jeeva Sagar on 18th October 2018 is played in two formats, invitational team events for the Clubs and open events for the individuals. Open event has 18 categories including the kids categories. Around 250 players participated in the 3 day event including the visiting players from India, Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, Qatar etc. Tournament turned out to be a mega successful event.
