No injuries in Hawally transformer fire

A power transformer caught fire near a private school in Hawally, but no injuries were reported.
Firefighters from three different fire stations arrived to the scene located at the Zarqaa AlYamama Street shortly after the blaze was reported. They immediately evacuated the area and tackled the flames. The fire was brought under control shortly afterwards. Necessary procedures were carried out and power was restored to the affected buildings in the area, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported quoting a Ministry of Electricity and Water statement. An investigation was opened to determine what caused the main transformer to catch fire.
