South Indian Mega Star Mammootty and Veteran Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla together will inaugurate the third medical center under Shifa AL Jazeera group in Kuwait at Abbasiya on 28th Novermber 2014. This was announced by the group chairman KT Rabeeulla in a press meet here at Crowne Plaza. South Indian film star Kunchakko Boban and Bhama also will attend the inauguration ceremony.
The group also announced its 15th Excellence Awards 2014 to 14 well-known personalities from different fields. Famous two unique stars of Indian Cinema Padmashree Barath Dr. Mammootty and Kalaimaman and Barath awards winner Mr. Kamalhasan, along with 12 personalities who have been playing great role in the socio-economic-charity and media fields will receives Shifa Al Jazeera Excellence Awards for the year 2014, Chairman announced.
The award winners are Mr. John Britas - M.D of Kairali channel, Mr. Nikesh Kumar – CEO of Reporter Channel, Mr. M.C.A Naser – Middle East Chief, Media One channel, Mr. Ajay Ghosh, Mr. Deepu Somashekharan – Reporters of Asianet News Trivandrum, Mr. C.P Saithalavi- Editor Chandrika, Mr. C.K Hassan Koya – News Editor, Malayalam News, Mr. P.P Junoob - reporter of Gulf Madhyamam Kuwait for excellence in media field, Dr. Ameer for medical service in Kuwait, Mr. Siddiqe Valiyakath for humanitarian work in Kuwait, Mr. Basheer Ambalayi for humanitarian work in Bahrain and Mr. Thennala Moideen Kutty for humanitarian services in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Three of the Shifa Al Jazeera excellence award winners are from Kuwait. Mr. P.P Junoob is the reporter of Gulf Madhyamam in Kuwait. Mr. Siddiqe Valiyakath, another award winner plays active role in humanitarian works in Kuwait. Dr. Ameer, the ex-president of Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait also selected for Shifa Excellence award for his valuable medical service in Kuwait.
The award will hand out to Dr. Mammootty, Mr. Kamalhasan and Mr. John Britas in a ceremony at Abudabi on 5th December 2014, chairman said. Others will receive the award during a mega function to be held at Kuwait on March 20th 2015. Dr. M.K Muneer, Minister of Kerala State for Panchayats and Social Welfare, Mr. V.S Shiva Kumar, Health Minister of Kerala, Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Former Interior Minister of Kerala, Adv. P.S Shreedharan Pilla, BJP leader, and Dr. K.T Rabeeulla, Chairman, Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group will present the awards to the winners. The program will be followed by the Music Night led by famous playback singers Afsal and Jyotsna.
During the function, group also launched medical discount card, which will give exclusive discounts for the patients in their new Abbasiya medical center.
