Diwali is India’s biggest and most important festival . Diwali means Row of lights. Clay lamps means Deepa and row means Avali. People celebrate Deepavali as a victory of good over evil. They worship goddess Lakshmi. It is celebrated to mark the day on which Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana return to Ayodha after fourteen years of exile. It commemorate the victorious return of Lord Rama to Ayodha after saving his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana.

THERE ARE FIVE DAYS IN DIWALI:

•The first day of Diwali is Dhanteras, and it is seen as good luck to gift gold at the beginning of Diwali. Gold plays a role in the mythology of the first day, and symbolizes hope overcoming despair.
•The second day is the Naraka Chaturdashi (Choti Diwali) – Illuminating the path of Virtue.
•The third day is Diwali or Deepavali.
•The fourth day is GovardhumPuja or Padva is the day when Lord Krishna defeated Indra by lifting the huge Govardhum Mountain. •The fifth day is Bhai Dooj is strengthening sibling bonds.

WHAT CAN WE DO ON DIWALI?
We can exchange sweets, gifts, clothes, etc. We must give gifts to each other to accelerate the feeling of love, bonding, affection and appreciation.

The traditional way of decorating a house is using rangoli, diyas, marigold flower garlands, colorful torans. The significance of sweets in Diwali is a symbol of sharing happiness and love. While the significance of lanterns represents the commemoration of this symbolic victory. The significance of Diya represents the triumph of light over dark, good over evil.

SAFETYMESURESWHILE BURSTING CRACKERS
Having fun is okaybut staying safe is more important. So in order to stay safe we must ensure we follow the following deterrents:

We mustn’t cover thecrackers with tin containers or glass bottles for extra sound.
Do not wear shiny, silky, synthetic or loose clothes while firing a cracker as they could catch fire more easily than natural fabrics.
Children should be accompanied by an adult while firing a cracker.
Keep your face and eyes away
Don’t light firecrackers in narrow lanes you can light them in open areas like parks

If we follow these rules we will be safe.
