WHAT IS DIWALI?
*Diwali is the five-day festival of lights.
*Diwali, also known as Deepavali or Dipavali comes from the Sanskrit word dipavali, meaning ‘row or series of lights’.
*It is celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains all around the world every year.
*Diwali is usually celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika.
*Diwali is one of the most popular Hindu festivals.
*It is the festival of a new beginnings and triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness.

DIYAS
*A diya or an earthern lamp is synonymous to the Festival of Deepawali or Diwali.
*A diya, diyo, deya, diva, deepa, deepam or deepak is an oil lamp that is usually made from clay, with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or vegetable oils.
*Diyas are native to the Indian subcontinent often used in Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and Zoroastrian religious festivals such as Diwali and Kushti ceremonies.
*Diyas can adorn every corner of the house on this very auspicious day and add fervour to the festival spirit

PAPER LANTERNS
*Paper lanterns are a novel oriental way of decorating the house on Diwali.
*They are easy to buy and are available in amazing patterns and many bright colors.
*These are usually made from very thin and colorful paper.
*Besides the different sizes, they come in lending you the option of decorating the house in any
way you want.

GLASS JAR LANTERNS
*You can paint glass jars in a variety of different colors and create Moroccan style lantern which is absolutely perfect for Diwali decorations.
*Use glass jars of varying sizes to increase the scope of decorations you can add while decorating your house for Diwali.
*You can use mediums such as gouache (poster paints), and acrylics to decorate these glass jars.
*You can also use stickers in the shape of stars and glitter glue to make it even more decorative.

RANGOLIS
*Rangoli is an art form, originating in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor using quartz powder materials such as colored rice, colored sand or flower petals.
*Rangolis are usually made during Diwali or Tihar, Onam, Pongal and other Hindu festivals in the Indian subcontinent.To add uniqueness to it, you can place designer diyas for Diwali and pretty clay handicrafts to enhance the beauty and level up the traditional Diwali decoration

PAPER CUP LIGHTS
*Paper cups can be one of the easiest Diwali decoration ideas to light up the mundane corners of the house.
*Create a unique decorative element for Diwali by painting and cutting them in floral shapes.
*Add tiny light bulbs to it and create a chain.

DIWALI TORANS
*Toran is the name of a sacred or honorific gateway in Buddhist architecture. Its typical form is a projecting cross-piece resting on two uprights or posts.
*Diwali torans or wall hangings are not only decorative pieces but also auspicious elements for the season
*You can use Ganesha wall hangings or make torans from recycled items and create that authentic Diwali charm

FAIRY LIGHTS
*Often, the exteriors of the house is decorated with fairy lights of different colors.
*It’s time to bring them inside for an astonishingly creative Diwali decoration.
*Fairy lights can be used in Pooja rooms or in glass vases for an amazing glowing effect.

COLOURFUL CANDLES
*You can either use colorful candles across the house to brighten up the corners, use engraved candles for an amazing visual bliss or go for stylish carved burners to place the candles into
