A Legacy of Learning: Gulf Indian School Marks 30 Years of Success

The halls of Gulf Indian School echoed with joy and nostalgia as the school commemorated its 30th Foundation Day with a grand celebration on 27 April 2024.

The presence of Mr Sreekumar Pillai, Manager of Gulf Indian School, as the Chief Guest, added grace to the celebration of the 30th Foundation Day. The event was made even more special with the benign presence of the special guests Dr. Achuthan Madhav, Principal of Jabriya Indian School, Kuwait. Ms. Geetika Ahuja, Principal of Aspire Indian International Kuwait, Mr. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Principal, New Gulf Indian School, Kuwait, parents, former students and well-wishers.

The day unfolded with a heart-warming welcome speech delivered by the Head Boy, Mufaddal Idress, who expressed his gratitude to the founders and teachers for shaping the institution's legacy. The Power Point presentation showcased the evolution of GIS, taking us on a captivating journey through time, unveiling the transformative paths it has embarked upon over the span of 30 remarkable years.

Following the welcome address, the Principal Dr. Prashant Vasudev in his eloquent address, enraptured the audience, emphasizing the profound significance of a day in the school’s narrative. Additionally, the Principal praised the students and faculty for their steadfast commitment.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the launch of the school’s e-newsletter, VERVE, a digital initiative aimed at highlighting the major happenings in school and a bird-eye view of the upcoming events. The e-newsletter showcased the school's current endeavours and achievements, rekindling memories for former students.

The celebration reverberated with appreciation as the school honoured its distinguished alumni for their accomplishments in various fields. Students, who excelled in academics and various co-curricular activities, including chess, were recognized and awarded proficiency prizes during the ceremony. The recognition ceremony served as a strong impetus for the student body, igniting a spirit of healthy competition and accomplishment.

Adding grace to the occasion, the special guest Dr. Achuthan Madhav , The Principal of Jabriya Indian School, shared words of wisdom and motivation that provoked thought. Ms. Geetika Ahuja, Principal of Aspire Indian International School, expressed her gratitude towards the Principal Dr Prashant Vasudev and the team, congratulated the prize winners, and commended the school. The guest's words resonated with the students, leaving an indelible mark on their young minds. Another special guest on the occasion was Mr. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Principal, New Gulf Indian School, who mesmerised the audience with his words of wisdom.

As the curtains drew close on the eventful day, the School Head Girl, Vrinda Vinuraj delivered a thoughtful vote of thanks, expressing her appreciation to all the attendees, organizers, and participants for making the 30th Foundation Day celebration a resounding success. The day culminated in a spirit of unity, pride, and immense hope for the school's future endeavours.
