IISM Holds Senior Investiture Ceremony

The investiture ceremony held at India International School was a momentous occasion, marked by dignity, tradition, and the spirit of leadership. The ceremony commenced with a grand Guard of Honour by the incoming student leaders accorded gracefully to the Chief Guest, Dr. Prashanth Vasudeva, Principal, Gulf Indian School, Fahaheel, Director Malayil Moosa Koya, Principal, K.V. Indulekha, Vice Principal, Dr. Saleem K., Headmistress, Sreedevi Neelakannan, Coordinators, Mrs. Najiya Kader, Mrs. Prema Balasubramanyan, Mr. Shihab Nilgiri and esteemed parents.

Principal Mrs. Indulekha warmly welcomed the esteemed guests. She focused on the importance of leadership, integrity, and service in her speech. Concluding with well-wishes, she expressed hope for the new council's success and impactful contributions.

In a ceremonial handover, CCA Supervisor Feroza Sultana, along with Assistant Heads Fizan Abdul Kader and Vaiga Rajesh, presented the emblem-adorned IISM flag to Principal K.V. Indulekha and Vice-Principal Dr. Saleem K. The school flag, a symbol of pride and honour, was waved with dignity. It was then passed on to Head Boy Sree Hari Nandan and Head Girl Aysha Nashwa, who vowed to uphold the school's legacy with dedication and commitment.

Subsequently, the elected leaders were conferred with badges by the dignitaries of the day. The newly appointed student leaders solemnly took the oath that marked their official transition into leadership roles, where they vowed to represent their peers with honour and dignity. Taking center stage, the Head Boy and Head Girl delivered inspiring speech, outlining their vision for the year ahead and expressing their gratitude to serve their school community.

As a part of tradition, exceptional academic achievers of 2023-2024 were felicitated for their outstanding performance, underscoring the school's commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. The event was heightened by a captivating musical performance by the school choir that left the audience enchanted and mesmerized.

The ceremony culminated with a captivating address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Prashanth Vasudev, Principal of Gulf Indian School, Fahaheel. His words resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression emphasising the importance of balance, acknowledging the challenge of prioritizing academics alongside leadership roles. He offered a message of encouragement, highlighting that "finding that equilibrium" allows both aspects to flourish. He concluded by expressing his delight at being part of such a momentous occasion, inspiring students to chase their dreams with unwavering determination.

The ceremony's enduring impact soared during the presentation of house trophies. The exceptional achievements of the winning house were celebrated, recognizing their dominance across a spectrum of inter-house activities held throughout the previous year. This pivotal moment served as a powerful testament to the school's ethos of healthy competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork, fostering a collective sense of pride and unity within the student body. Ultimately, Ideal House emerged victorious, proudly claiming the coveted trophy.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the CCA Secretaries, Shivnandan Venugopal and Nancy Talukder, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
