Increase in temperature cause rise in electricity load index

With the increase in temperatures, the electricity load index crossed the orange line posing new challenges.

Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy foresee an increase in loads during this summer in light of the limited production, which amounts to about 18,600 megawatts, while the ministry’s expectations for the maximum load are 17,250 megawatts.

According to reports, the electricity load index recorded 11,244 megawatts on Saturday, which is the maximum load recorded by the index during this period.
