Amnesty for residency violators begins today

The three month amnesty for residency violators will start from today, Sunday 17th of March. The deadline for amnesty will end on June 17th.

According to report, the number of residency violators in the country is approximately 120,000 to 140,000.

As per the amnesty rule, starting from today, the violators can leave the country without paying any fine and can return back to Kuwait on a new visa.

Anyone with a pending legal case can visit the General Administration of Residence Affairs to check the possibility of obtaining residency during the amnesty period, sources informed.

Authorities called on all residency violators to utilize this opportunity. Those who are not availing this opportunity will be subjected to deportation followed by blacklisting from the country, sources said.
