Kuwait announce amnesty period for residency violators

The Interior Ministry on Thursday announced amnesty for visa violators. According to MoI, the amnesty period allow the residency violators to either legalize their status of residency after paying their fines, or leave the country without paying their fines or being blacklisted.

The amnesty, announced on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan will start from March 17, 2024 to June 17, 2024.

Furthermore, those who leave the country by availing the amnesty will not be blacklisted, meaning that they will be able to reenter Kuwait in the future.

The ministry warned however that those who fail to take advantage of the amnesty during the specified period will be arrested, deported and blacklisted, meaning that they will face a lifetime ban from entering Kuwait.
