On February 16, 2024, the executive meeting of Future Eye Theatre convened at Kala Auditorium in Mangaf. During the session, it was resolved to inaugurate the Future Eye Film Club (FEFC), envisioned by President Santosh Kuttat, aiming to provide a platform for discussing, reviewing, and screening critically acclaimed movies under the Future Eye Theatre banner.

The initiative is set to commence with the screening of “Nomparakood,” a film lauded with both the Film Critics Award and the Satyajit Ray Award. The protagonist, portrayed by Mr. Somu Mathew, was previously active in Kuwait’s arts and cultural sphere before relocating to India. Furthermore, a post-screening discussion with Mr. Mathew is planned, with details regarding the date and venue to be announced later.

Additionally, it was agreed that short films produced in Kuwait, as well as those selected for various competitions, will be screened and accompanied by discussions. Invitations for participation will be disseminated by the association, welcoming all interested individuals to reach out to the office bearers.

Furthermore, other resolutions encompass a bi-monthly solo act or short-play theatre performance, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes, featuring artists in Kuwait. Workshops and plays tailored for children were also slated for implementation. Interested parties are encouraged to engage with the office bearers for further details.
