Ministry of Health is working to increase the fees for expatriates on delivery related services at the country’s maternity hospitals.

The Minister of Health Sheikh Bassil Al-Sabah informed this in a session of the National Assembly on Wednesday in response to a speech by MP Safa al-Hashim.

MP Safa al-Hashim said that large number of expat women come on visit visa to Kuwait especially to deliver babies for just KD 3 fees. Hence due to this there has been overcrowding at maternity hospital and cause of long lines.

Currently expatriates are not paying any additional fee for delivery in government hospitals in Kuwait.
