MoI seizes large amounts of drugs

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Thursday that the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) arrested an unidentified person with large amounts of narcotics he brought to the country.

The person was arrested with 19 kilograms of methamphetamine and half a million narcotic pills, (Captagon), the ministry's General Department of Public Relations and Security Media added in a press statement.

Secret information obtained by the DCGD revealed that this person brought drugs to the country for dealing, the statement noted.

The narcotics are evaluated at KD more than half a million (USD more than 1.6 million), it concluded.
