No work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance.
Martin Luther King, Jr

To express heartfelt gratitude and to convey a big Thank You to the supporting staff of the school, Salmiya Indian Model School celebrated Labour Day in the school premises on May 1, 2019 with great joy and enthusiasm.

To make the day memorable students of grade I and II conducted a special assembly. Students personally expressed their gratitude towards their ‘Aunties’ by presenting them with handmade cards. Mrs. Amita Kumar the senior most teacher of SIMS distributed lunch packets to the support staff. A special arrangement was made for serving ginger tea to all the helpers of the school.

SIMS principal Ms. Anita Sadanand in her address appreciated the value of hard work displayed by the workers and emphasised on inculcating the value of hard work in children also. She acknowledged the contribution of the work force of the school and lauded their ceaseless efforts for the welfare of the students.
As we prepare our children for a bright future it is important for them to take a minute to honour all the hard and amazing work that is going around them. Thus the Labour day special assembly was held at Salmiya Indian Model School to forge a better understanding of the labour community among the students who must respect and appreciate their efforts. The celebration strengthened the bond between the students and the support staff of the school.
